Redwood
As the name suggests, the Sequoia Sempervirens has its leaves that remain green throughout the year (unlike the Metasequioa which loses them in the fall). They are somewhat similar to those of the yew. In nature, it is a large tree that soars towards the sky, and it is one of the tallest in the world. It is a conifer that is not often found in bonsai. It has vigorous growth and rebuds quite easily on the trunk after severe pruning. The Sequoia Sempervirens is mainly worked in a straight shape, characteristic of the species.
