Indian Lilac
The Lagerstroemia, commonly known as summer lilac, marigold or crepe myrtle, is a species of ornamental tree in the family Lythraceae It is native to China and Japan. Deciduous, it is a bonsai loved for its autumn coloration ranging from red to yellow and for its flowering in summer, it is a very interesting variety in the art of bonsai. The Indian lilac develops flowers at the top of the year's shoot. The different colours of the flowers: pastel, white, pink, lavender or almost red seduce bonsai enthusiasts.
