Charm
The common hornbeam is one of the hardiest species. Very common in our countryside, it is also a great choice for those looking for an easy and trouble-free deciduous bonsai. Its leaves are quite easily reduced, which makes it possible to create very convincing small bonsai. Hornbeam is also an essence of choice for the creation of forests. It tolerates the sun well, although in mid-summer it is advisable to put me in partial shade so that its leaves do not get burned. In the fall the hornbeam foliage turns yellow, and even if it is not as spectacular as with a maple, it makes it a special moment.
